Taree & District RSPCA is a self-funded branch of RSPCA NSW, operated solely by volunteers. The branch has no office, shelter, ambulance or veterinary facilities. The branch relies solely on donations and fundraising to undertake it's animal welfare, community assistance and education activities. Animals are in foster care in volunteers homes until suitable, permanent homes can be found.

Premises Inspection

Some dogs adopted from Taree & District RSPCA require a premises inspection prior to adoption.

To pass premises inspection you must have:

A fully fenced yard with the fences (including gates) at least 1.5 metres in height. If you have a pool, this will also require fencing.
A yard of adequate size for the dog you wish to adopt.
Proper shelter. A shelter must provide protection from the elements and be large enough for the dog to stand up or lie down in. It must also be enclosed on three sides and have a floor and roof that is impervious to rain and provides shade.
