Last Chance Club (LCC)

You can make a difference to a mistreated animal's life. The Last Chance Club animals are mostly ex-cruelty case animals, whose owners have been prosecuted for neglect or cruel treatment. Many have been through severe ordeals.

These animals are available for adoption. Because they are special animals, they often come with special needs (these are listed for each animal).

The Last Chance Club animals have been given a second chance at life by the RSPCA. They need good homes and special owners, who understand their plight, and can see past their problems and give them a future, a last chance.

Most of The Last Chance Club animals are at our Yagoona Shelter in south-western Sydney, unless otherwise indicated. They can be visited at Yagoona Shelter.

Name:Jason
D.O.B:06 October 2006
Breed:Domestic Short Hair/Ginger
Sex:Male
Location:Kempsey
Information:

Jason came to us as a kitten (after his mother was killed by a car). He is now a big boy, still looking for that special home. He shows lots of affection and enjoys playing with toys.

Jason is dog friendly and would be a great companion to a family (huan) that has a dog. He 'talks' to people and says 'here I am' in cat language.

Jason wants a home where he will have no outdoor access at night.

Jason comes immunised, desexed and microchipped for $150. Please contact Carol at Kempsey RSPCA on (02) 6562 4260

He enjoys lying in the sun, playing with toys and having girls (feline friends) groom him. Lucky boy!

Glen would make a great companion for a dog or another cat.

He needs a home where he will have no outdoor access at night.

Glen comes immunised, desexed and microchipped for $150. Please contact Carol at Kempsey RSPCA on (02) 6562 4260

Name: Rosie
D.O.B:04 April 2006
Breed: Sharpei X
Sex:Female
Size: Medium
Location:Kempsey
Information:

Rose came to the Kempsey RSPCA as an injured stray. Once in care, she required treatment for a leg injury (relatively minor - just sore and swollen) and also had entropian surgery on both her eyes. Where she came from, how she received her leg injury and why she wasnt claimed is unknown. What we do know about Rose is ... she's absolutely adorable! Every bit as cheeky as she looks, Rose is a little dog with a bright, bubbly personality and an extremely affectionate nature. Rose adores people and quite simply, just loves to be loved. Whilst she plays and interacts well with other dogs, Rose's passion is people. As such, she longs for a home where she will be the centre of attention (though she would be happy to share with another little dog) and get all the love and attention she deserves. She is a true canine companion and as such is not suited to a home where she will be 'home-alone' for continual extended periods (ie. someone working full-time). Rose would be ideal for a kind, caring individual or couple looking for a delightful, devoted little dog to be their constant companion. She is house-trained (however needs inside/outside access ie. doggie-door/open-door), well-mannered, obedient and adorable.

Rosie comes immunised, desexed and microchipped with an annual heartworm injection for $220. Please contact Marguerite at Kempsey RSPCA on (02) 6562 1554.

Name:Tipsy
D.O.B:01 January 2006
Breed: Labrador X Kelpie
Sex:Female
Size: Medium
Location:Kempsey
Information:

Tipsy came to the Kempsey RSPCA as a puppy, after her mother was abandoned without food or water to care for herself and her babies.

A darling little girl, Tipsy is a very gentle soul. Whilst she adores giving/getting affection from those she knows, she is extremely timid with new people/places. Due to timid nature, Tipsy is not suited to a home with children (she's terrified of them) and would most suit an older single person or couple with lots of time, patience and love to give her.

Her shyness however doesnt extend to 4 legged animals and as such, Tipsy has excellent social skills with other pups/pooches. Tipsy loves going for walks, snoozing on her bed in the sun and Scooby Snacks.

House-trained, well-mannered and obedient, she will be a loyal and loving companion to someone with the time, patience and love to win her trust and build her self-confidence.

Name: Berti
D.O.B:02 June 2005
Breed: Ridgeback x Boxer
Sex:Male
Size: Large
Location:Kempsey
Information:

Berti came to the Kempsey RSPCA after being 'seized' as a puppy from his previous owner due to neglect. Whilst striking a 'serious pose' for this photo ... dont be fooled into thinking that this handsome hound is the strong, silent, serious type ... because he's not!

However, gentle, sweet-natured, kind hearted, extremely affectionate, playful and VERY loving are the traits of this beautiful brown-eyed boy. In fact, Berti can be quite the larrikin, particularly when waters involved ... and specifically when waters coming out of a hose. Due to his friendly, playful personality, Berti has excellent social skills with other animals and would make a wonderful companion to another gentle canine. He would be equally suited within a sole animal household provided he received lots of love, attention and human companionship.

Berti is house trained and comes immunised, desexed and microchipped with an annual heartworm injection for $220. Please contact Marguerite at Kempsey RSPCA on (02) 6562 1554.

Why not Save Our Seniors?
At the RSPCA we have many "senior" animals (from 5 years onwards) ready for adoption - all looking for loving homes. These older animals are often overlooked for the younger homeless animals. View Save Our Seniors.
