| | Name: | Honey |
| D.O.B: | 21
May 1999 | | Breed: | Labrador |
| Sex: | Female |
| Size: |
Large | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Honey came to the Kempsey
RSPCA via the local pound. Originally, picked up as a stray, Honey was traced
back to a breeder by her microchip. They however advised that they had given her
away 3-4 years ago and had no record of who she had gone too. Weighing 46.5kg
it was obvious that someone had cared enough to feed her. Sadly, they didnt care
enough to claim her from the pound. We did! Quite simply, Honey is THE dearest,
sweetest, most lovable, affectionate, endearing, adorable (get the picture) ...
girl you could find. Due to her gentle manner, she has excellent social skills
with other animals (dogs and cats). As such, she would be a lovely companion (not
playmate) to another dog. She loves going to rides in the car, waddling around
the yard, snoozing inside and supervising ... everything! Honey is grossly overweight,
and whilst she is slowly losing ... she still has a long way to go (approx 12kgs).
As such, she requires gentle daily exercise (ie. walks/wandering within her own
yard) which she really enjoys. Honey is house-trained, obedient, well-mannered
and absolutely adorabe. NOTE: Honey is only suitable as a house dog (ie. inside).
She is most suited to an older person or couple looking for a delightful (and
devoted) girl to be their constant companion. Honey comes immunised, desexed and
microchipped with an annual heartworm injection for $220. |
| | Name: |
Baby Bear | | D.O.B: | 02
June 2005 | | Breed: |
Labrador x Ridegback | | Sex: | Male |
| Size: |
Large | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Baby Bear came to the Kempsey RSPCA after being removed from
his previous owner due to malnourishment and neglect as a puppy. But whilst the
bad start initially left him small in stature (hence his name) ... time, tucker
and TLC has seen Baby Bear grown into a big, beautiful boy. Baby Bear can be summed
up in two words ... adorable and exuberant! He has
an incredibly affectionate nature and a pure joy for life ... he basically loves
everyone and everything ... and is particularly partial to 'bear-hugging' his
2 legged foster mum. He also adores the company of other pooches and playing with
them is definitely one of his greatest pleasures in life. As such, he is highly
suited to a home where he will not only receive oodles of love and attention,
but one where he will have the enjoyment and companionship of a 4 legged friend.
He would be equally suited to a sole animal household looking for a lovable lad
to share their love, lounge and life with. Baby Bear is house-trained and has
commenced his obedience training, however will benefit from continued training
with a new owner. NOTE: Due to his exuberance, Baby
Bear is currently not suited to a home with small children ... he only wants to
play but he's too big and boofy :) LCC: Baby Bear comes immunised, desexed and
microchipped with an annual heartworm injection for $220. Please contact Marguerite
at Kempsey RSPCA on (02) 6562 1554. |
| | Name: | Charlie |
| D.O.B: | 01
January 2006 | | Breed: |
Labrador | | Sex: | Male |
| Size: |
Large | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Charlie was surrendered
to the Kempsey RSPCA when his owner relocated and was unable to obtain pet-friendly
rental accommodation. Charlie is big, beautiful, boisterous ... and the best natured
boy about. Basically, a 45+ kg puppy, Charlie views everyone and everything as
his personal play things. As such, he adores the company of other canines, and
due to his considerable exercise needs, is most suited to a home where he will
have a 4 legged friend. He also loves eating, going for walks, eating, rides in
the cars, eating, being inside (house-trained) and ... eating. Charlie had received
no basic training (including walking on a lead), prior to coming into care. Consequently,
as lovable as he is, Charlie is a big, strong (physically and mentally) boy, who
is only suitable for a potential owner prepared to meet his external exercise
needs (ie. daily walks/runs) and with the time, energy and commitment to 'put
in the ground work' in terms of his ongoing obedience training.

| | Name: | Tipsy |
| D.O.B: | 01
January 2006 | | Breed: |
Labrador X Kelpie | | Sex: | Female |
| Size: |
Medium | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Tipsy came to the Kempsey
RSPCA as a puppy, after her mother was abandoned without food or water to care
for herself and her babies. A
darling little girl, Tipsy is a very gentle soul. Whilst she adores giving/getting
affection from those she knows, she is extremely timid with new people/places.
Due to timid nature, Tipsy is not suited to a home with children (she's terrified
of them) and would most suit an older single person or couple with lots of time,
patience and love to give her. Her
shyness however doesnt extend to 4 legged animals and as such, Tipsy has excellent
social skills with other pups/pooches. Tipsy loves going for walks, snoozing on
her bed in the sun and Scooby Snacks.
House-trained, well-mannered and obedient, she will be a loyal and loving companion
to someone with the time, patience and love to win her trust and build her self-confidence.

| | Name: | Rosie |
| D.O.B: | 11
April 2006 | | Breed: | Sharpei
X | | Sex: | Female |
| Size: |
Medium | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Rose came to the Kempsey
RSPCA as an injured stray. Once in care, she required treatment for a leg injury
(relatively minor - just sore and swollen) and also had entropian surgery on both
her eyes. Where she came from, how she received her leg injury and why she wasnt
claimed is unknown. What we do know about Rose is ... she's absolutely adorable!
Every bit as cheeky as she looks, Rose is a little dog with a bright, bubbly personality
and an extremely affectionate nature. Rose adores people and quite simply, just
loves to be loved. Whilst she plays and interacts well with other dogs, Rose's
passion is people. As such, she longs for a home where she will be the centre
of attention (though she would be happy to share with another little dog) and
get all the love and attention she deserves. She is a true canine companion and
as such is not suited to a home where she will be 'home-alone' for continual extended
periods (ie. someone working full-time). Rose would be ideal for a kind, caring
individual or couple looking for a delightful, devoted little dog to be their
constant companion. She is house-trained (however needs inside/outside access
ie. doggie-door/open-door), well-mannered, obedient and adorable. |
| | Name: | Babs |
| D.O.B: | 01
November 2006 | | Breed: |
Kelpie x Greyhound | | Sex: | Female |
| Size: |
Medium | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Babs came to the Kempsey
RSPCA after being surrendered by her previous owner as I of an unwanted litter.
Babs is a gorgeous girl with a quiet, yet friendly personality, an incredibly
affectionate nature and a very gentle soul. Whilst hanging out with the humans
is high on her list of priorities, playing with her puppy pooch pals is also a
favourite past-time ... and due to her sweet nature, Babs has excellent social
skills with other animals of all shapes and sizes. As such, she would make a lovely
(and loving) companion to 2 and/or 4 legged animals. Babs has commenced her house
and obedience training and is a quick learner. She would be a wonderful addition
to any loving home prepared to continue to puppy pre-schooling and meet her longer
term exercise and particularly, companionship needs. |
| | Name: | Manny |
| D.O.B: | 23
October 2007 | | Breed: | German
Shepherd x Husky | | Sex: | Male |
| Size: |
Large | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Manny came to the Kempsey
RSPCA via the local pound. Where he came from, what is background is and why he
was not claimed is unknown. What we do know about Manny is, he's a beautiful boy,
who is now looking for his FOREVER home! Together with being very friendly and
outgoing, Manny is incredibly affectionate ... and very playful. And being a typical
playful pup, he has good social skills with other dogs and loves to run and play
with his puppy/pooch pals. Having obviously received little to no love and attention,
wherever you are is where Manny wants to be. Consequently, he does suffer from
separation anxiety and as such, is only suitable for a home where he will not
be left for long extended period and will be literally ... part of the furniture.
He has commenced his house and obedience training and needs an owner with the
time, commitment and energy :) to meet his ongoing obedience, exercise and companionship
needs ... short, medium and long term |
| | Name: | Buddha
(aka Bood-Bood) | | D.O.B: | 20
February 2008 | | Breed: |
Sharpei x Staffy | | Sex: | Male |
| Size: |
Medium | | Location: | Kempsey |
| Information: |
Buddha (affectionately
known as Bood-Bood) came to the Kempsey RSPCA when his extremely emanciated mother
was found on the side of the road, with a tiny newborn pup (him) in her mouth.
Bood-Bood is now looking for his FOREVER home, where he can live out his life
in the manner to which he's become accustomed ... inside and idolised :)
Like all puppies, Bood-Bood is food, attention and play obsessed ... and is politely
pro-active in ensuring his needs are met in all these areas. Accordingly, his
favourite past-times are sitting in front of the fridge (he's a growing boy),
playing with his puppy/pooch pals, being smooched and snoozing. As
the RSPCA says, "they dont stay babies forever", so Bood-Bood wants a home that
will not only love him now when he's cute and cuddley ... but long-term when he's
old and crotchety. Bood-Bood is house-trained, well mannered and obedient (by
puppy standards) and every bit as lovable as he looks. | Top
