Premises
Inspection Some
animals may require a premises inspection - in this instance you may pay an inspection
fee and the animal will be held for you at the Shelter until the premises inspection
has been completed. Please note: The fee is part of the adoption price and is
not refunded if the premises were found not to comply with the requirements set
out on the Application Form and as signed by the prospective purchaser.
To pass premises
inspection you must have:
 |
A fully fenced yard with the fences (including gates) at least 1.5 metres in height.
If you have a pool, this will also require fencing. |
 | A
yard of adequate size for the dog you wish to adopt. |
 | Proper
shelter. A shelter must provide protection from the elements and be large enough
for the dog to stand up or lie down in. It must also be enclosed on three sides
and have a floor and roof that is impervious to rain and provides shade. |
